Rama with a white chhattra (umbrella)
Rama seated in lalitasana on a low throne, with S?ta on his left. A white chhattra (umbrella) is held above Rama’s head. Rama's right hand is in vitarka mudra and his left hangs loose. S?ta carries a lotus in her hand. Behind the throne are Rama’s brothers: to his right is Lak?ma?a, waving a fly whisk, and to his left are Bharata (green complexioned) and Shatrughna, also waving a fly whisk. Also to Rama’s right are the seven sages, standing with hands in anjali mudra, and to his left are his most important allies: Vibhishana, the monkeys and the bears. Hanuman kneels before Rama’s throne, holding the hero’s right foot in his hands. In the foreground Sugriva, the king of the monkeys, opens a chest.
